It’s a wholegrain rice obtained by natural crossing  japonica variety with a media grain caryopsis.
The red rice often grows in the wild on loamy soils.
It has a particular aromatic smell and is called ruby for its color.
It has a sweet taste and once prepared can be stored for  several days.
Its cooking time is 40 minutes.
It’s perfect with vegetables, spices and condiments.
